The Challenge

The operator operated across multiple regional markets with a fragmented application estate that required heavy manual intervention for B2B Ethernet, dark fibre, and cloud-connect service delivery. Quotations, site feasibility checks, and service fulfilment were managed across disparate legacy portals, spreadsheets, and disconnected ticketing queues. Enterprise and wholesale clients faced provisioning lead times stretching over multiple weeks, with minimal visibility into deployment milestones. This lack of transparency drove high operational support volumes and impeded the operator's ability to compete effectively against agile digital-native network providers. Furthermore, the absence of standardised open APIs prevented seamless integration with wholesale partner platforms, creating significant friction during high-volume circuit onboarding and service modifications.

Our Approach

CYVERRA established an end-to-end digital transformation programme centred on TM Forum Open Digital Architecture (ODA) principles. The team engineered a modular, microservices-based customer and partner self-care portal built with modern web technologies, providing automated feasibility checking, dynamic quoting, and real-time order tracking. Behind the digital front-office, CYVERRA deployed an event-driven workflow orchestration engine using Apache Kafka and Camunda BPM on Kubernetes. This layer integrated customer order inputs directly with underlying network inventory, GIS routing engines, and automated test-and-turn-up platforms, replacing manual reviews with policy-driven validation logic. To ensure enterprise-grade stability and interoperability, CYVERRA exposed a suite of secure, TM Forum-aligned REST APIs. These enabled wholesale partners to programmatically qualify addresses, place multi-site orders, and receive real-time webhook updates directly into their own operational systems.

The Outcome

The implementation restructured the operator's commercial and delivery operations into a streamlined, automated workflow. Average order-to-activation cycles decreased by 42%, while manual intervention during standard circuit provisioning fell by 65%, allowing technical teams to concentrate on complex custom deployments. The self-service portal and open API gateway drove rapid adoption among tier-1 enterprise and carrier partners. Inbound order-status inquiries dropped by 34%, while wholesale partner onboarding times were reduced from months to under two weeks.
