Digital Outpatient Modernisation & Virtual Care Platform
CYVERRA designed and deployed an integrated virtual care and digital outpatient orchestration platform across 28 multi-specialty regional clinics. The transformation modernised intake workflows, synchronised electronic health records in real time, and expanded remote consultation capabilities.

The Challenge
The healthcare provider operated 28 outpatient clinics across three regional health districts, managing over 450,000 annual consultations. Rapid geographic expansion had produced a fragmented IT landscape comprising legacy desktop scheduling tools, disconnected point solutions for video visits, and siloed diagnostic tracking. Manual patient intake, paper-based triage questionnaires, and asynchronous synchronization with central electronic health record (EHR) repositories caused administrative bottlenecks. Clinical staff spent substantial time re-entering baseline vitals and medical histories, resulting in appointment backlogs and an average no-show rate exceeding 18%. Furthermore, disparate virtual consultation tools lacked native integration with e-prescribing and diagnostic ordering services. Clinicians struggled to maintain continuous care pathways, while compliance teams faced difficulties verifying audit trails and role-based data access across multi-district endpoints.
Our Approach
CYVERRA engineered a unified, cloud-native digital outpatient platform built upon HL7 FHIR-compliant API microservices to interconnect regional clinic workflows with the core hospital EHR ecosystem. The architecture established bi-directional, event-driven data exchanges that ensure real-time clinical record synchronisation across all care locations. We deployed an automated pre-visit engagement portal enabling digital self-check-in, structured clinical intake forms, and automated insurance verification. An integrated, secure WebRTC-based telemedicine engine was embedded directly into clinician workflows, providing single-pane-of-glass access to patient charts, diagnostic imaging, and integrated e-prescribing. The underlying infrastructure was provisioned on AWS with robust end-to-end encryption, automated audit logging, and role-based access governance tailored to strict healthcare data protection standards. Continuous integration and automated validation pipelines were established to guarantee high availability and low-latency performance across distributed clinical endpoints.
The Outcome
The digital transformation reduced average patient intake time from fifteen minutes to under seven minutes, eliminating reception queues and accelerating clinic throughput. Automated omnichannel reminders and pre-visit readiness workflows lowered the appointment no-show rate from 18.4% to 10.8% across all 28 facilities. Virtual care integration allowed cross-regional specialist consultations to scale seamlessly, driving a 340% increase in completed remote appointments. By unifying digital and physical pathways, the network achieved a 34% expansion in effective outpatient consultation capacity without expanding physical clinic footprints.
