Automated Network Provisioning Engine for a Regional Telco

CYVERRA VERIDION GROUP engineered a custom service provisioning and network inventory engine to replace legacy operational support systems. The platform automated end-to-end subscriber activation and hybrid cloud-edge service orchestration across multi-vendor network domains.

The Challenge

The operator managed a hybrid infrastructure spanning legacy fixed copper, gigabit passive optical networks (GPON), and 5G radio access layers. Provisioning new commercial broadband and enterprise connectivity required engineering teams to navigate three disconnected Operational Support System (OSS) databases and execute manual command-line interface configurations. This fragmented process created average fulfillment cycle times exceeding 72 hours per enterprise customer. Scalability bottlenecks and high error rates during peak subscription cycles resulted in elevated order fallout rates, recurrent SLA penalties, and increased support overhead. Furthermore, the absence of a unified, real-time network inventory model impeded dynamic capacity planning and delayed the rollout of high-margin virtual network services.

Our Approach

CYVERRA VERIDION designed and deployed a modular, event-driven service orchestration platform to unify physical and virtual network functions. The solution integrated directly with multi-vendor software-defined networking (SDN) controllers, legacy element management systems, and the client's commercial BSS layer via standardized TM Forum Open APIs. The engineering team implemented a distributed saga orchestration pattern to govern long-running network transactions, ensuring automated rollbacks and deterministic state validation during activation failures. A graph-based dynamic inventory database was integrated to maintain real-time topology mapping and automated port allocation across access, aggregation, and edge infrastructure.

The Outcome

The custom platform enabled zero-touch provisioning for 84% of standard residential and enterprise connections, collapsing average fulfillment timelines from multiple business days to under fifteen minutes. Network operations teams shifted from manual command execution to exception-based monitoring, reclaiming internal technical capacity for core infrastructure upgrades. Pre-provisioning automated line validation substantially reduced order fallout and costly field technician dispatches. The resilient, API-first architecture also delivered the operational baseline needed to support automated network slicing and on-demand software-defined enterprise WAN deployments.
